Christine Rauscher, Ph.D. Senior Technical Assistance Consultant

Teachers are critical to student success and I value the opportunity to work together to  increase student achievement.

Chris applies her doctoral degree in literacy education and educational leadership and her 20 plus years of experience as an associate superintendent in her work with schools to enhance the language arts curriculum and improve student achievement in reading and literacy. Chris focuses on developing programs to meet students’ literacy needs and designing professional development to improve classroom instruction. Chris served as a consultant in the Teaching and Learning Services Bureau of the Iowa Department of  Education and was president of the Iowa Reading Council. She has taught graduate-level courses focusing on effective literacy instruction. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Iowa.
