Teresa’s dedication and commitment to student achievement – publicly recognized and rewarded during her tenure in the Baltimore City Public School System by former Baltimore City Mayor Sheila Dixon and Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley – drives her work with AIR. Teresa brings her 15 plus years of experience as an educator and leader in urban school districts to her role as AIR’s on-site turnaround coordinator at Eisenhower High School in Decatur, IL. Teresa also is pursuing her doctoral degree in educational leadership with an emphasis on reversing the dropout phenomenon among African American and Hispanic youth. She is focusing on developing tools to enable school and district leaders to curtail this growing epidemic.   Teresa earned her master’s degree in Health Education from SUNY College at Cortland, New York and received her certification in Administration and Supervision from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
